Construction giant DATEM Inc. is now classified as a “Quadruple A” contractor, the highest level of standard given by the Philippine Contractors Association Board (PCAB) the implementing body of the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP).

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, the diversified construction company is one of eight firms to receive such a certification.

The announcement of the company’s upgraded category comes as both an honor and a challenge, as shared by DATEM Inc. President and CEO Levy Espiritu.

According to CIAP, classifications are based on a company’s financial capacity, building experience, and technical expertise. Other categories include AAA, AA, A, B, C, and D. DATEM was previously classified as a “Triple A” or “AAA” company.

“We are deeply honored to have been recognized in this way,” says Espiritu.

He adds, “This accreditation validates all our good work for the past years, at the same time, it also serves as a reminder that we as DATEM have more to give and do for our clients. This new level of accreditation gives us the opportunity to showcase that.”

Espiritu shares that they are looking to get more involved with Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects in the future, particularly in Infrastructure. “We are currently in the process of getting accreditation, but we are very excited to have the opportunity to be showcasing another aspect of our expertise and build for our country.”
