DATEM has directly employed 1,158 workers and professionals and assigned them to various projects, yards, and sites nationwide. To further assist in completing these projects, DATEM also opened business opportunities to subcontractors and suppliers.

DATEM, a leading construction firm in total value engineering, shares in the country’s agenda to improve its infrastructure and forward development. Through partnerships and coordination with developers and government agencies, DATEM implements major projects promoting environmental sustainability, transportation, and water service.

To develop and complete these projects, the company employs skilled and qualified talent and workers. From January to June 2023, DATEM added 1,085 fit blue-collar workers and 73 white-collar workers joined the company. All were assigned to various project sites and types such as the Shang Residences at Wack Wack, Eluria Residences, East Bay Raw Water intake, and Galleon Office and Residences Tower.

“We continuously improve the practice and culture from hiring to construction works and implement safety protocols during project construction. These translate to quality delivery of targets,” DATEM President Lesley Villanueva said.

While providing work opportunities to competent, fit, and trained workers, DATEM faithfully implements construction safety and health protocols among more than 3,690 workers and employees assigned across all project sites, yards, and offices.

Aside from completion of the project on time, safety is also a top priority. This is achieved through consistent progress monitoring and communication, assistance to on-site personnel and potential non-conformities, and regular safety reminders and training.

As a testament to DATEM’s effort to value safety in the workplace, the Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. recognized each project site for its exemplary adherence to safety standards.

“While we create opportunities through hiring and partnerships with developers and suppliers, we also give importance to the vital contribution of each worker who devotes their talents and skills in our drive to build sustainably for the nation,” Villanueva added.
