DATEM successfully completed the Validation Audit with SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. (SCPI) to maintain its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Certification 45001:2018 for its Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Conducted at The Galleon Project in Ortigas, the audit was led by Mike Matundan of SCPI on November 4, 2022.

The scope of the certification covers the Provision of Engineering and Construction Services, and Precast Manufacturing and Installation. Site construction activities, as well as other related activities on precast construction and installation were tapped.

During the audit, SCPI commended DATEM for strictly observing occupational health and safety measures — safety controls are in place, infographic signage are highly visible, and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are properly worn by the workers.

Following this successful renewal of the company’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&S) certification, DATEM effectively maintains its triple ISO certifications for 2022, to include certifications for its Quality Management System (ISO 9001: 2015) and Environmental Management System (ISO 14001: 2015).

“This milestone is a clear reflection of the value we put to the health and safety of our workers – our most valuable asset – and the provision of a healthy and safe working environment that is responsive to our workers’ needs,” notes DATEM President Lesley E. Villanueva. “Malasakit for our workers and the environment continues to be at the core of our operations, and with this latest achievement, we remain motivated to improve on our standards and provide better value to our clients.”
