When Menarco Development Corporation tapped DATEM to build a 32-storey office tower in Bonifacio Global City, the vision was strikingly simple: to create a building that puts the occupants’ well-being first.

DATEM, always at the forefront of the green building movement, held to its commitment until the fruition of that vision, as Menarco Tower received its much deserved WELL Certification, boasting a Walk-off Score of 98/100.

Location: Taguig
Type of service: General construction works (structural and architectural works)
Number of floors: 28
Construction floor area (CFA): 45,874 sqm

Already a certified LEED Gold v3.0 recipient, the Menarco Tower is the first building in the country to receive a WELL Certification.

The WELL Building Standard, which was first launched in 2014 by the International WELL Building Institute, is the world’s first architectural benchmark focused on human health and wellness to improve sustainability. It measures and monitors the performance of building features that affect the health and well-being of users.

“This is a first for DATEM. Several years ago, we had our very first LEED project, and now, we have WELL. We knew that it would be difficult, but Carmen [Jimenez-Ong] knows what she wants and sees the vision for the project. Thank you. We are very proud of this project,” shares Arch. Arnold P. De Asis, one of the founders of DATEM, during the recent WELL plaque unveiling held at Menarco Tower.

“It was through Arnold [de Asis] that we were able to accomplish this building. DATEM is indeed the best,” notes Carmen Jimenez-Ong, Managing Director of Menarco Development Corporation.

Menarco Tower allocates 22 floors for office spaces and 10 floors for parking. It has also been previously awarded with three Philippine Property Awards: 2016 Best Green Development Winner; 2016 Best Office Development (Highly Commended); and 2015 Best Office Architectural Design (Highly Commended).

DATEM shares the vision of Menarco Tower in the creation of sustainable workplaces, with the occupants’ well-being the foremost consideration. Committed to nation-building, DATEM deeply anchors its initiatives on its core value of Malasakit, strengthening stewardship of the nation and its people with every project it builds.
