Participants of the DATEM 35th Anniversary Golf Cup enjoy the gentle morning breeze before getting their game on at the Ayala Greenfield Golf and Leisure Club.

In a bid to help support the industry-related education of underprivileged students under its scholarship foundation, Quadruple A construction giant DATEM recently held its 35th Anniversary Golf Cup at the Ayala Greenfield Golf and Leisure Club in Calamba, Laguna.

The tournament forms part of the company’s year-long celebration of its 35 years in the industry. Kicking off the event were the ceremonial tees led by DATEM Chairman and CEO Engr. Levy V. Espiritu, President Engr. Morris S. Agoncillo, Managing Director Engr. Lilit J. Tumbocon, and Corporate Secretary and Director Arch. Arnold P. De Asis.

Set against a backdrop of lush landscapes, windy fairways, and views of the Tagaytay Ridge, Laguna de Bay, and the Makiling hillside, the tournament brought together more than a hundred participants from the company’s list of clients, partner-suppliers, business associates, and friends. Proceeds of the tournament will be used to help pay for education-related expenses of students under the company’s foundation.

In his appreciation message, Engr. Levy Espiritu said, “What happened today was more than just a game of golf. Today was an opportunity to give back to the community and make a difference . . . We have found loyal and reliable partners in you in our mission to help redefine the construction industry. But today, by your support and participation, you have partnered with us for a noble goal – one that goes beyond building landmarks – and that is to help build better lives for this generation and the next.”
